Asking Renaud Marlière about how Asendia is being sustainable

Sustainability

Since January 2022, Asendia has been 100% Carbon Neutral through Offseting.

Renaud Marlière, CEO Asendia UK, explains what actions Asendia is taking to make products more sustainable.

How is Asendia making returns more sustainable?

“Returns are a very important topic for e-commerce but are not very sustainable. By improving the processes and by proposing options to the retailer, we will reduce the footprint of the returns we have set for everything. In fact, we offset for all the destinations we offset, and for all the products e-PAQ, Mail and e-PAQ Returns we offset the totality of our activity. We offset in the name of our customers.”

Which sustainable actions does Asendia take?

“So we offset, but we do more. We have started projects. We are building at the moment a carbon calculation tool to be able to confirm to our customers what was their emissions and what we have compensated in their name. We are working as well on a product called e-PAQ Green, where we will propose a cleaner or low-emission last mile to our customers. It will be ready for pilot by the end of the year.”
