Canada - Strike activity

The designated operator of Canada, Canada Post, asks us to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) will be in a position to begin legal strike activity on 15 November 2024 at 12.01 local time (EST), unless an agreement is reached before then.   In the event of rotating strikes by CUPW, Canada Post will make every effort to minimize service disruption and deliver mail as normal. Nevertheless, delays should be expected in the processing and delivery of mail and parcels.    Regular updates on all service disruptions are available at canadapost.ca/update.   Canada Post remains committed to achieving a negotiated settlement with CUPW, while making every effort to minimize the impact of disruption on its customers.   Canada Post thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding.
