The designated operator of Côte d’Ivoire, La Poste de Côte d’Ivoire, wishes to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that certain La Poste trade unions have launched a strike, effective from Monday, 3 February 2025 for an unlimited period. This strike has resulted in the closure of numerous post offices and mail processing departments (for both national and international mail). The Government of Côte d’Ivoire and the management of La Poste have initiated negotiations and are making every effort to resolve this situation.
