Hongkong Post, the People's Republic of China's designated operator for Hong Kong, asks us to inform Union member countries and their designated operators of the extreme weather conditions across Hong Kong, including the black rainstorm and flooding warning, since the evening of 7 September 2023.
This situation is affecting the processing and conveyance of all inward, outward and local mail. As a consequence, quality of service is affected, including for inbound and outbound EMS, air parcels and registered airmail.
Hongkong Post expects the impact to last for at least a day before the backlogs can be cleared.
