The designated operator of Italy, Poste Italiane, wishes to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that Catania International Airport will be closed during night-time hours from 31 March to 30 October 2025. As a result, items with expected delivery times of up to four working days addressed to the Sicily region originating both from Italy and from other countries may be subject to delays. Poste Italiane thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding and will keep them informed via EmIS of any further developments regarding this situation.
