The designated operator of Jamaica, Jamaica Post, wishes to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that it has suspended all international mail operations (inbound and outbound) and domestic mail operations with effect from 5.00 local time (UTC-5) on Tuesday, 5 November 2024, owing to the passage of Tropical Storm 18/Hurricane Rafael. This suspension includes responses to customer service inquiries and other associated services and activities, including IPS updates. Consequently, delays are to be expected in the processing and delivery of all mail (letter post, parcel post and EMS), customer service responses and associated services. The situation will be monitored, and updates will be provided via EmIS in due course. Jamaica Post apologizes for any inconvenience caused, and thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding.
