The designated operator of Malta, MaltaPost, wishes to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, owing to the implementation of a new import system by the Maltese customs authorities, it is currently experiencing delays in the processing of mail items subject to customs clearance. MaltaPost is working with the Maltese customs authorities to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. MaltaPost thanks all Union member countries and their designated operators for their understanding and will notify them via EmIS when the situation returns to normal.
