New Caledonia – Update on the situation

The Office of Posts and Telecommunications (OPT-NC), France's designated operator for New Caledonia, wishes to provide other Union member countries and their designated operators with an update on the situation.

OPT-NC has now resumed all postal activities in New Caledonia, inbound and outbound international traffic is back to normal, and deliveries have mostly been restored throughout the territory.

However, there remain some delivery difficulties in three zones (postcode areas partially affected: 98809, 98889, 98831). This concerns less than 10% of the New Caledonia population, and these customers are still able to collect their items from their local post office.
