Poland – Update on postal operations following floods

Poczta Polska, wishes to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that the heavy rainfall and resulting local flash floods continue to affect all postal operations.

Furthermore, continuing heavy rains in the western and south-western provinces of Poland (Silesian, Lower Silesian, Opole and Lubuskie voivodeships) have led to floods in additional areas.

As a result, the collapse of roads and bridges is causing delays in the transportation and delivery of mail items (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items). The most severely affected postcode areas, in addition to those already indicated in the preceding EmIS messages, are as follows: 55XXX, 67XXX and 68XXX.
