Spain  -  Update following torrential rains  

Further to EmIS messages 181/2024 and 195/2024, the designated operator of Spain, Correos y Telégrafos, wishes to provide other Union member countries and their designated operators with a further update on the situation following the torrential rains of 29 October 2024 in the province of Valencia.

Recovery and reconstruction work is ongoing, but numerous areas continue to be affected by the disruption caused by damage to buildings, roads and other infrastructure. It has not yet been possible to resume full distribution and delivery services in the affected areas, and some shipments are therefore being held until full service can be restored.
